PROCEDURE

The treatment consists in the local injection of a substance that is intended to dissolve adipose tissue. A small, controlled inflammation develops at the injection site. Fats are released from the cells, which together with the blood are transported to the liver where they are broken down and then excreted from the body.

EFFECTS

The effects of the treatment are visible after about 3 weeks. It is recommended to perform a series of 3 to 6 treatments depending on the expected effects and the treatment area at intervals of 4 weeks.

After the procedure, redness, swelling, itching of the skin or slight pain may occur. Treatment sites may be more sensitive to pressure or touch. Small lumps may be felt at the application site for up to 4 weeks.
