Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in our body. It is a polysaccharide that makes our skin elastic and firm. With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases, which is why the skin loses its volume and hydration, and wrinkles appear. The solution may be a treatment using a filler based on hyaluronic acid, which fills wrinkles and restores skin volume.

FAQ

What are the recommendations after the hyaluronic acid treatment?

Drinking plenty of water to increase the effect of the treatment. We do not recommend drinking alcohol for 24 hours after the procedure. Avoid sunbathing, saunas and treatments that may accelerate the decomposition of hyaluronic acid (e.g. radiofrequency).

Does the procedure change facial features?

Hyaluronic acid fills the cavities created in the skin, e.g. as a result of its aging or asymmetry. It restores the volume of the skin, but when administered skillfully, it does not change facial features.

What can be the complications after the procedure with the use of hyaluronic acid?

  • inflammatory reaction to the drug
  • soreness and bruises at the application site
  • unevenness, lumps of the preparation visible under the skin
  • infections at the injection site
  • tissue necrosis (if the preparation was incorrectly administered, intravascularly)
